If this information is accurate then it simply gives an avenue to pursue a
grievance - it does not excuse the behaviour of the minority of fans who kicked off
in disgruntled fashion.

Whether that minority - who threw items and vandalised the locality - were travelling
'supporters' or local hooligans out for a bender and some bother won't ever be clear,
so its a moot point in all essence.

Well of course - every Tim would love to think that 'every hun is the same and there
was fighting and vandalism therefore every hun fights and vandalises'.

Pretty much the same way most huns think 'Scummy Tims and their anti-British
sentiment, mocking the dead of war - their kind are not welcome here, why don't they
go home?'

Sweeping generalisations are very seldom accurate however, anyone with even half a
brain knows this.

I would suggest running wild in the streets causing injury and mayhem in
huge numbers is worse than a few idiots making an anti british point
known.Might like to ask the policeman that got a good kicking if he finds
idiots singing at him more painful. But your point was correct earlier that
its no excuse if or who turned it off.Decent folk would have moaned about it
but just walked away. However it seems Tommy prefers to try and tint
everything bad with Rangers with a green element.

The drunken morons who rampaged in Manchester and the singing idiots making
their "anti british point" are scum in equal measure. One group simply goes
about their business in a more cowardly and insidious manner than the
other.

They did. The decent folk at Falkirk sat inside the stadium and observed

tripping up and assaulting a policeman and the first is,what was (more
cowardly and insidious) I can only add that your a fucking joke.

Jonbhoy, at least some of them are prepared to own up to manchester...

"A Rangers fan has admitted assaulting a police officer during rioting
which broke out in Manchester after the 2008 Uefa Cup Final."
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/low/england/manchester/8370976.stm

I'm sure we will still hear..."he was a tiny tiny tiny minority and
even if there was "five hours rioting against the police" we held a
minutes silence and you never"....honestly, their pathetic....

Do have to say that some posters whoi compare the two events as the same its
fairly shameful.I totally disagree with what the group of idiots did during
the minutes silence,it was a disgrace and went against every decent persons
view however it wasnt unlawful as they were airing their views (in a legal
way). Its the old story if you want free speech sadly some of it isnt that
nice to hear. However to compare something lawful with a very large group of
rioters creating havoc, causing criminal damage and attacking others which
was totally unlawful dont even come close. But even funnier was the original
poster acting a twat and trying to now blame the whole thing on a "Tim"!

I'm rather draconian normally well it comes to free speech, I'd not be
inclinded to use that as some sort of justification for those outside
the ground at Falkirk that besmirched the memory of our brave soldiers
and also Celtic's reputation. Nevertheless, we fought nazi tyranny
such that people could express their point of view and not feel
oppressed by some right wing cabal of wannabe freikorps...

I'm sure Tommy is little different from some others...just expresses
himself in a slightly less sophisticated manner...you're right though

Was more pointing out the difference between the two acts.As i said whilst
what happened in falkirk was lawful that doesnt mean it was a decent thing
to do.Those who were singing during the silence were scum and theres no way
i could even come close to trying to justify it being morally acceptable.

defensible.
